Back & Biking.

After more than 7 years living abroad it looks like I’ve found my way back to Calgary for a while at least. I’m still waiting to hear back from Mount Royal and I don’t feel like doing any crap jobs, so I’m going to see how long I can stretch out $400.00 and enjoy the Canadian outdoors for a while. The trails in Calgary have been really nice so far. I’m not sure if it is legal to mountain bike on them or not, but so far I haven’t run into any trouble… or old folks.

I’ll be out riding as many days a week as I can. Here are some photos of trails within the city limits.

Why Here? Why Now?

In the past I’ve been rather lazy when it comes to posting about my experiences and adventures in Asia. WordPress.com allows you to post directly from my iPod Touch, so it will be much more convenient to post a quick note, review or picture blog.

Recently, I’ve been doing more and more traveling and bike trips. This afternoon I attempted to ride from 台北 （Taipei） to a small town called Pinglin (坪林). When I was a few kilometers away I ran head on into a thunder storm. The rain was very heavy and the lightening was close. I put my tail (bike) between my legs and headed back down towards Taipei. I’m disappointed I didn’t make it right into PingLin, so I’m going to give it another shot this Thursday.
